7th play 10th here, so there is not much between them in that regard, we can also see that they both have horrible score differences, -124 for the Ravens and -125 for the visiting sixteen. The Ravens do appear to have some better players on paper, Vaughan, Separovich, Gollan, Riggio to name a few, but I am sure that the Hollywood players are now starting to get a feel for the step up in class by now, with some of their players stepping up to support the likes of Campbell and the Byrne family.
Thornlie 7-1

1st v 6th in this game to be played near the Zoo, but I fear it will be a long sad trip home to the port for the visiting Freo Mariners, who have just not been consistent this pennant season.
The Millers have won 6 drawn 1 and lost 1 game this year and have been very reliable, only suffering a narrow loss in their only defeat. The four home side skips of Carter, Kelly, McCrae and Petrich( on his day) just look too classy for Gill, McCormack, Claussen, not so Wachmer though.
South Perth 7-1

Can the Kats2 upset the Eagles? They will be in with a show, although the game will be played on their newer and friendlier bottom green.
Hunter, Back, Wood and Vassallo might have something to say about the result, but, as I have said many times before the soaring Eagles have mighty depth at their club.
Manning 7-1

LEEMING v KALAMUNDA

KALAMUNDA
B Brandsma, R Pringle, C Archer, R Chalmers
A Bartlett, G Trevaskis, I Quayle, V Hughes
I Cornthwaite, R Cooper, P Townsend, M Clancy
D Wooltorton, M Potente, B Farrant, M Thomas
INS: R Cooper, M Clancy, R Chalmers
OUTS: C Smeeton, G McDonald, B Solly

Game of the Round 5th versus 2nd in this game to be played at the home of the 🦁, who were well and truly thrashed by the Eagles in their last game at their wind swept green. The surface should not present a problem for the visitors, but the conditions just might. Last year you could confidently predict that the rinks skipped by Brandsma, Vandersluys and Newton would win, but that is not the case this pennant season.
If in doubt, go for the home side, I will on this occasion.
Leeming 6-2

HILTON PARK v KARDINYA 1

HILTON PARK

KARDINYA 1
I Barrie, W Bezant, R McNamara, M Monteiro
G Fewings, N Ball, A McCullagh, R Lipple
G White, D Wood, J Terrell, J Edgar
R Knapp, K Stower, G Knight, W Lee
INS: N Ball, R Lipple, G White, D Wood
OUTS: J Rochford, R Jones, B Regan, L Phillips

9th play 4th in this game to be played on a better surface this year at Hilton, hopefully anyway.
The Kats have not won on grass this year, but I give them a reasonable chance in this one, as they have a wealth of seasoned and hardened players used to playing at a higher level quite a bit.
Terrell, Fewings, Barrie, Knapp, to name a few, but the Hawks have a few stars of their own in Simpson, Dodd, Standley and the Newton’s, however I see that Standley is missing, along with Butler and Maxwell. A few big outs for the struggling Hawks.
Hard to pick, so I will go for the visitors in a close one.
Kardinya1 7-1
