Here we go, Round 17 and we still don't know who is going to play finals or who will be demoted.
It would appear as the top 3 sides are going to be there, which leaves 4 clubs fighting out for that last spot in the top. Some great match ups this week and looking at the ladder it really could come down to round 18 to decide the make-up of the final 4 and for the 2 sides to be demoted.

DOUBLEVIEW v SOUTH PERTH - Friday night @ 6.30pm

INS: No changes
OUTS:

Game of the round here and a lot at stake for both sides. A win for Doubleview will see them guarantee a top 2 finish and the chance to host finals.
A win for South Perth and their top 2 chances are still alive.
Tough game to predict and in recent history between these 2 sides it has been the home side to prevail so I will go Doubleview at home to get the win.
Doubleview 6-2

MANNING v MOSMAN PARK

MANNING
W Hyatt, D Downey, S Patterson, M Walker
T Mitchell, L Grigg, B Hogg, M Kemp
S Knott, N Jones, M Ellis, J Angel

D Marsland, A Daley, S Swanson, R Kershaw
A Southern, T Cranswick, S Anning, M Van Bemmel
INS: J Adams
OUTS: G Hagan

Another game with alot on the line for both sides.
Manning needing to win to maintain their spot in the 4 and Mosman looking to stay out of the bottom 2.
I think Manning at home too strong will get the win.
Manning 7-1

KARDINYA v SAFETY BAY

OUTS:

Kardinya in the same situation as Mosman Park in that they need the win to get out of the bottom 2.
Safety Bay are resigned to going back to White and will no doubt throw all they have at Kardy, but I think Kardy at home too strong.
Kardinya 7-1

OSBORNE PARK v CAMBRIDGE

OSBORNE PARK
J East, T Weir, R Lawrence, G Smith
C Packer, C Biddle, G Caffell, M Rollings
R Brown, K Pickering, E Martin, G King
S Loftus, N Stevens, M Dewson, I Lilburne

CAMBRIDGE
C Adams, R Bolton, W Manning, P Potts
B Nairn, D Opie, N Bolton, D Leeson
E Johannes, N Lewis, S Rushforth, A Garlick
C Harris, S Mawdsley, C Wooldridge, A Foster
INS: No changes
OUTS:

Another huge game with a lot in the line for both sides.
Osborne Park have perhaps been the form side of the second half, but needing to win their last 2 to be playing finals.
Cambridge have been top 2 all season and despite a hiccup at home last week are still a strong chance to finish top 2 and potentially home finals.
My gut says an upset here with Osborne Park at home but my head says Cambridge have been one of the best side all year. Could come down to rink draw..gonna go out on a limb and take Osborne Park at home just.
Osborne Park 6-2

NORTH BEACH v SORRENTO

SORRENTO

D Nicholls, A Elmer, P Morgan, S Mortimer
C Lander, I Linford, B Lucas, B Kiely
R Butler, P Knight, P Flack, M Burton
INS: B Kiely
OUTS: G Murray

Both sides still in the mix for that last spot in the top 4 but realistically will need to win both their last games.
North Beach impressive last week and will be favourites this week at home.
For Sorrento their wheels have fallen off after a strong first half, but as I said they are still in the mix.
Could be a great game with so much to play for but North Beach at home for me.
North Beach 7-1

So after all that how will it all play out, whoplays finals and who gets demoted.
I think the top 3 all finish the season 1 win and 1 loss, Manning and Osborne Park and North Beach all win their last 2 games.
At the other end of the ladder both Kardinya and Mosman Park finish 1win and 1 loss so will come down to rink wins.
Here is how I think the ladder will look after round 18

Doubleview
Cambridge
South Perth
Manning
Osborne Park
North Beach
Sorrento
Kardinya
Mosman Park
Safety Bay

Good luck and good bowls to all and stay safe
