Round 14 upon us and this round of fixtures throws up a couple of important games that could potentially make or break the season for some.
We have an intriguing Friday night fixture this week, we have 4th v 5th only separated by 1.5 points that could see the teams reverse positions.
All in all as we are getting towards the end of the season for some teams another loss here and they can almost kiss their hopes for finals goodbye, whilst for others their dreams still live.

Here we see top of the ladder Doubleview taking on 7th place Osborne Park and what may be a must win for Osborne Park to keep their finals hopes alive.
Doubleview haven't played a pennant game for two weeks, however they will go in unchanged and playing at home will go in with confidence after their last performance.
Osborne Park as stated earlier will feel that they must win as a loss here will put them 2 aggregates out of the four with only 4 games left. With their leading skipper potentially missing the next couple they will want to leave it all on the Park and give themselves every chance for finals action.
However I think Doubleview at home and in good form will get the points in what may very well be a close game.

Last start out for both these teams resulted in losses so both will be looking to come out firing and secure a win.
For Safety Bay it is almost certain they will be returning to 1 White next year but they will look to close out the season with a bang and cause as much trouble to the other sides as they can.
Sorrento sitting precariously in 3rd spot will not want to drop another game as a loss could see them drop out of the top 4, a position they have held all season. They have exceeded outside expectations this year and have certainly played as well as any other top side this year so I have no doubt they will come out firing.
Safety Bay at home are a different side and they have been playing well the past few weeks, however Sorrento have too much to play for and I think they will get over the line.

Cambridge coming off an impressive away win at Sorrento last week will be looking to consolidate that top 2 position at home this week against a struggling Mossies. With all rinks seemingly playing well and at home it doesn't bode well for Mossies.
Mosman Park are struggling at the moment coming off back to back home losses. It seems that 1 rink each week are struggling to keep the score close which leaves too much work to do for the other rinks.
Cambridge at home will be too strong.

Game of the round, 4th v 5th and alot to play for with a top 4 spot on the line.
South Perth seem to have righted the ship and have been on an impressive run to get themselves into this position and I have no doubt they will want to keep the momentum going.
Manning have been there about all season, just hanging around the top 4 but not able to gain any momentum and string a few wins together. They certainly have the talent and belief, however playing at South Perth is never easy and I think South Perth will get over the line.
South Perth 6-2
KARDINYA v NORTH BEACH

Kardinya at home and they have a little breathing room between them and 9th place Mossies. They will be looking at this game and use it to gain a little more separation from the relegation zone. They were close last week and will enter this week with confidence.
North Beach also haven't played for 2 weeks, and it is good to see them back fit and healthy after what their club has been through the past couple of weeks. Before the forced break they were showing some good form and will have no fear with the Kardinya surface.
I expect this game to be close with mayne the home side just doing enough to get the points.
