Alcolizer

Well, what an exciting Round 14 ahead of us this week, hot weather and is going to be 37 degrees and HOT, HOT, HOT. Make sure to drink plenty of amber fluid on Saturday to stay hydrated!!!! Very exciting round as most games are top sides playing the Bottom sides except the Dolphins v Doggies in the Game of the round. All 2 -5 are only separated by 3 points. This round is integral for 2-6 spots to either stay in touch with the top side or get themselves closer to playing finals. Teams will be wanting to put space between themselves and lower placed teams unless there are upsets this week. Its going to test the mettle of a lot of teams this week and then throw in the heat and we could end up with an exciting outcome on Saturday at 5pm

4 v 8. This is a must game for the Saints to win if they are going to stay in touch with the top posi’s. And based on the Views performances, the last couple of weeks they have had off (NB and the heat) but the 3 weeks prior they got beaten by the Dolphins, the Wolves and Swan you would say that the Saints should do it easy. We will give the View a little wee benefit of a doubt and I hope for their own pride they perform better; The Saints will be too strong for them. The View will have to perform 2000% better than what they have. Hopefully someone during the week has ridden their boot up their bum maybe the break of the last 2 weeks has been a resetting point. The Saints to win this week in a much more spirited effort by the View
Osborne Park 7-1

3 V 8 The Beach boys are showing that they are travelling very well this year and will be frothing to be playing at home this week. The home record of the Beach boys is undeniable no losses most wins are with 8 points the Max being 61 shots up and they have beaten even the Dolphins at home by 15 shots or there abouts in one of the Dolphins 2 losses. Only 2 sides have taken any points off the Blues this season at home. The rink match ups are going to be Vital for the Basso Lions. They will like the speed of the synthetic as it will draw like their own grass. The lions need to perform like they did last week and show why they got promoted into one Blue. If they have another performance like recent weeks, they are going to push the Blues all day. The beach boys will win it is just a matter of by how much. The Blues will be all fired up
North Beach 7-1

9 v 2. The wolves’ have shown already this season they can win at home. But Swan have now got the mix right with the rinks. Natalotto rink are playing some great bowls and Kelly is playing great bowls also all four rinks are playing extremely well after the Xmas break. Even though the Wolves, Marovic and Martinovich have been shining lights for the Wolves they have had a leaking most weeks. At home the Wolves are going to be much stronger, But Swan are just playing great bowls, Just ask the Saints last week and they will send the Wolf pack back to the bar howling and keep chipping away towards finals
Swan 7-1

MORLEY v WARWICK

10 v 6 and the Mavericks have been playing very ordinary bowls. I think the Mavericks will enjoy playing at home on grass greens and put in a real battle. The Dolphins smacked the Magpies last week. Mavericks will be wise and be very careful you are going to have to play the best game of your season. If Orchard or Michell can line up against Hinge, then Mavericks have a show. If Nazereth / Sanders’s line up it will be goodnight, Mavericks. The other Magpies skips were slowly getting the ball rolling apart from last week. The Magpies really have something to prove this week and will be too good and looking for blood, for the Mavericks its going to be a lopsided affair
Warwick 7-1

1 v 5. In the game of the round, The Doggies win against the Dolphins earlier in the season will give them a little confidence going up to Joondalup. The Dolphins will be at home on those lovely grass greens and the Yokine boys will be just as comfortable. Since they last played, the Dolphins have not lost a game and I just don’t see who is going to contain Rixom and Leggett Both boys are playing much better since round 5 and to be fair all 4 skips are playing bloody well. The only chance I see for the Doggies. Is if Golden Boy or McGillivray can contain the young guns and maybe they will be in with a shot. The Doggies will and have to play their best game of their season, or could the Doggies be Joondalup’s who do side? Is Voldemort sprinkling his magic dust around. The Dolphin 16 are just too strong at the minute, and the Doggie treats will be heading up the Mitchell to Joondalup
Joondalup 6-2
