Alcolizer
From looking at the teams selected for the 1st game of the season it could a case of the home teams jumping out and looking to secure early points with some top contenders matched up early in Round 1.
WARWICK v YOKINE

G Hinge, G Smith, A Henneker, J Ferguson
B Ledingham, C Boyle, B McNamara, A Lewis

M Lemos, P Hunter, B Morrison, J Kaplan
W Coffee, J West, J McGrath, G Robertson
T McGillvray, M Sharp, J Matthews, K Humfrey
INS:
OUTS:

What a game to begin proceedings, if Warwick thought they would be able to go through the motions and regain their 1 White status, think again as the Yokine 16 will want to make up for the end of last season, with the fire burning bright this is a battle for the ages! Warwick will prove that there is enough mettle in this 16 to warrant favouritism for not only this game but for the season and will be making an early statement, along with Joondalup this is probably the strongest 16 in Blue. Yokine will definitely be letting the “Dogs out” and will provide plenty of yelp and have a seasoned 16 to cause plenty of trouble, home side here.
Warwick 6-2

BASSENDEAN v SWAN

BASSENDEAN
A Britton, R Cummings, C Brown, A Keegan
M Garrett, L Fasolo, K Stoner, C Miller
M Wright, B Patterson, S Colegate, C Francis
R Maynard, J Parker, R Gregory, K Durward
INS:
OUTS:

SWAN
P Kelly, J Morss, P Natalotto, M Eckett
D Park, P Park, G Malaspina, P Hilsz
R Revell, R Furci, J Hillian, R Dunstan
D Wood, T Natalotto, D Foster, B Owen
INS:
OUTS:

This promises to be a great battle 1st up and the new look Swan 16 will be wanting to cause an upset here against a Basso 16 with plenty to prove after an off season with saw a reasonable amount of players leave the green green grass of Bassendean. Not to sure what to make of this game but with familiar faces everywhere it sure does look like the most hotly contested game of the round.
Swan 6-2

OSBORNE PARK v MORLEY

OSBORNE PARK
M Pasalich, P Allen, K Price, R Herbert
F Di Giuseppe, I Bryden, B Boyd, M Woodward
, W Davidson, A Pasalich, J Minchin
L Farrell, G Smith, C Fleay, L Bell
INS:

MORLEY
M Radalj, W Mitchell, P Leyland, C Hamilton
V Orchard, P Fettes, V Princi, G Pinto
K Nazareth, L Spinks, T Dawson, K Engelen
R Urquhart, L Sanders, G Grieve, W Hinchcliffe
INS:
OUTS:

Osborne Park back in Blue for the 1st time in a while and will be looking to make a statement and start the season off with a bang, this vastly experienced 16 should have enough grunt across all lines and will want the lions share of the points. Morley have regrouped and welcome back a favourite son in R Urquhart who will make a massive difference to 16 , they will not be overawed and will cause plenty of headaches for most sides this season, interesting challenge for Ossie Park 1st up.
Osborne Park 7-1

NORTH BEACH v JOONDALUP

NORTH BEACH
P Augustson, R Hutchinson, R Hunter, B Muntz
A Howe, D Anderson, B Abrahamson, W Farrant
L Mitten, R Aitken, R Munday, S Stevenson
J Bartorillo, E Retallack, G Barr, G Gregson
INS:
OUTS:

JOONDALUP
Wayne Neilson, Wes Neilson, T Vlahos, M Cheesman
S Rixom, C Leggett, J Hunter, T Vellios
B Leggett, P Daley, P Kain, T Dangerfield
J Buchanan, M Korycin, S Niven, S Binnie
INS:
OUTS:

This is definitely the toughest game of the round to pick with probably the most talented 16 in Blue travelling down to take the Beach Boys on at the Glasshouse. Joondalup with 2 new skippers adding to arguable the 2 best skippers in Blue plus strength all the way through the lines make them an ominous proposition for any team…. They do come up against a very good side who would fancy themselves to figure at the pointy end of the season and they do love their home ground advantage, they have enough firepower in the 16 to stake their claim early, flip of the coin here.
Joondalup 6-2

DOUBLEVIEW v STIRLING

DOUBLEVIEW
B Pearce, D Cosgrove, J Gilchrist, M Leed
B Willesee, E Johnson, C Bell, A Faulkner
G Nelson, B Leed, S Deering, F Williamson
C McKenna, S Whitfield, N Feletti, M Fredericks
INS:
OUTS:

STIRLING
M Vitale, P Marinovich, P Kostarelas, V Marevic
M Marovic, I Katich, D Pekovich, J Astone
, A Kriletich, N Yaksich, J Farcic
J Martinovich, N Babich, J Del Borrello, B Vujcich
INS:
OUTS:

On paper it would appear that the Boys from the View would have enough experience to get them over the line at home but you can never discount the fighting spirit of the Wolf Pack from Stirling. The View have appeared to stick with 3 Skippers from last season and have welcome back Nelson to add more experience to the 16 and look settled on all their other lines. Stirling are back in 1st Division and will be looking to make the mark and they will see this as big chance to get some early points, there will no doubt be a lot of spirit and cant discount an upset here.
Doubleview 7-1
