South Perth have won their past 8 games to be the form side in the competition and leaped into the double chance against top side Doubleview. They met only 2 weeks ago at this venue, South Perth winning by 1 shot in what was described as the game of the year when South Perth pulled out 10 shots in the last 3 ends. Against the other 3 finalists, Doubleview have a 1-4 record, their only win coming against Cambridge only last week (they did miss the game v Manning with the heat out), South Perths record is 4-2, those 2 losses coming early in the season as well. If Doubleview can start the way they did 2 weeks ago I doubt they will be beaten but I'm going for South Perth, their form is impeccible, their record against finalists very good and they seem to be working together at long last with the best list in the comp.

After spending almost all of the season in the top 2, Cambridge find themselves in a do or die match against Manning. They have shuffled their 3's around to give them a bit of a spark leading into the finals, a gutsy move which will either win them the flag or leave them red-faced. I think they are good moves and should be enough to win this game. Manning welcome back Daniel Trewhella after his HSD protocols meant he missed last week and his presence may have been required after their surprise loss to Safety Bay. With nothing on the line it's hard to know what level of enthusiasm they had for the game though. This week will be different, they certainly have the team to not only win this game but win the flag. If they put it all together and Cambridge are slightly off then Manning can win. Record against other finalists is Cambridge 4-2 and Manning 2-3. Manning have been a bit hit and miss while Cambridge a but more consistent. I'll go with the consistency.

BLUE SOUTH TO WHITE PROMOTION FINAL
South Perth v Manning @ Cockburn
This game to be played on the tricky synthetic at Cockburn should be an absolute ripper. In the two games they have played so far this year the honours have been even, both winning at home.
Will the surface at Cockburn favour the Millers?
As I predicted Adj Heal is now back in Premier League, funny about that. He will be a significant loss to the Eagles, but they do regain Wayne Heldt I note.
Greg Hogg for the Eagles and Johnny Carter for the Millers, also not playing.
I predict that the Millers will just pip the Eagles
South Perth 6-2 Winner to play Warnbro
BLUE NORTH TO WHITE PROMOTION FINAL
Swan v North Beach @ Osborne Park Winner to play Quinns Rocks
Cockburn v Willetton
I don’t know a lot about some of these players, but it is Willetton’s top side and I note that former Premier League Skip in Cameron Girvan is playing for them. Maybe the Roosters experience in big games just may get them over the line.
Winner v Fremantle - Fremantle to win
Spearwood v East Fremantle
The Spearwood boys have only been down in 2nd Division for one year, they have the experience for sure and the green may suit them.
Winner v Hilton - Hilton to win
