Once again, some cracking games in round 8 that will no doubt have an influence to positions on the ladder. My game of the round this Saturday is Mundaring V Mt Lawley, I know my Mounters feature in so many games of the round but can they go up the hill and beat Mundaring who are so good at home? One thing we know for sure is that they have the cattle to get the job done although a failure a couple a weeks ago at Joondalup will be in the back of their minds. Yokine will be going for the Red Tails to knock them off and assist them in narrowing the gap once again at the top of the ladder.

Sorrento have cost me my tipping results 3 weeks in a row, maybe I have over rated? I don’t think I have and I’ll have to tip them to win this game against Manning who seem to have lost some very good bowlers to their top side in 1 blue South and are not quite as strong as they were earlier in the season. Two changes each for both sides and they do look like very good inclusions for both teams. Sorrento for me to this time bounce back in a strong way.
Sorrento 8-0

Game of the round by a long way – Mundaring are a very different side at home and play their conditions very well. We know the strength of Mt Lawley so on talent alone this will make the game a very close one. Masel will be wanting to get back on the winners list after losing two in a row and with AJ covering his loses if the Masters 4’s skip can fire up and manage a win my Mounters can get the job done. Having said that I feel another upset brewing here and I’m going to tip Mundaring to win a close one. Inspector Cox to be the big winner and carry the aggregate, no pressure Inspector but I have a hunch.
Mundaring 6-2

I feel for Doubleview – Just enjoy the day lads ignore the score line it will have no reflection on any of your abilities, perhaps roll up on your concrete patio at The View for some speed practice and you may get an understanding of what your about to experience on Saturday. Good luck and if you can get one rink win you can be well satisfied get two and you can count that as a win. John Bertirillio is now the leading skip and perhaps even a game or two away from having a crack with the top side such is his form.

Another good game here and one that could go either way now swan have got their second win for the season they will travel to the young gun’s venue knowing that at their best they could cause an upset. Joondalup have been terrific in their first season in one blue they beat Mt Lawley at home only a couple of weeks ago so on that form you’d be silly to say they wont beat Swan in this one. So much will come down to the draw to determine the winner. Whoever draws young Wes had better keep it close he has been very impressive over the last few weeks winning by lots. Another game that will go down to the wire, will Swan cause the upset? They didn’t let me down last week taking care of a very good Doubleview side so I’m going out on a big limb and pick them to win this game by a very narrow margin my second roughie for the round they didn’t.
Swan 6-2

There is a lot to like about Yokine this year they are the real deal , winning 4 on the trot and taking 2.5 pts off of Mt Lawley at home is no mean feat . They have a very experienced back end matched with quality leaders and that makes them a very seasoned and dangerous side in this one blue comp. Morley I feel are the same very seasoned line up that on its day can beat anyone. Yokine are another side that play their home greens so well and are very rarely beaten there. For this reason, I’ll tip Yokine in what should be another cracking contest in the one blue comp.
Yokine 6-2
