This round should be interesting as teams start to feel each other out & this can be more prevalent in 1 White due to the extra team movements for other Divisions, so it will take another few weeks to see the wood for the trees.
We haven't seen any real wholesale changes around the teams this week as would be expected until either this week or next, when the pressures start to build & subjective opinions start to fly around about performances. Therefore the next few weeks are important for those rinks looking to settle in well & grind out good performances & the remainder is where the selectors get their chance to shine in the loveless task of showing how they can implement changes whilst keeping everyone happy.

The Mossies will be licking some wounds from R1 & the Magpies will be soaring from their emphatic win last week, which should make for a great setup of 2 good sides.
Mosman Park weren’t very far off last week against a team that maybe a good barometer for the season. If the last few ends went slightly different I think we could confidently say the home side will take this fixture.
Warwick will be very keen on building on last weeks momentum & they also started last season well too. However, I think the great view will be the only freebie they’ll get this weekend & anything else will be hard fought.
Mosman Park 7 - 1

The Kats did have some good moments last week but need to consolidate any gaps across all 4 rinks to put up the defence walls this weekend. The Wizards probably left it late last round but given the changes it might take a few rounds to settle. They got the result but they’ll need a little extra this weekend to put away a seasoned Kardinya side at home.
Unsure what surface they’ll play on this Round but can’t see Warnbro having an issue after playing there well last year & having similar themselves. Can’t see more than 8 shots in the final score but edging the Wizards to make it interesting.
Warnbro 6 - 2

Tough call on Game of the Round but I’ve settled on this one for a number of reasons & happy to explain more after the results when we see how this plays out. The Lions will be roaring after last week's dominance of a solid Saints outfit & they’ll need every ounce of confidence after the Roos disposed of probably one of the favourites for promotion in R1.
Basso can be a confidence team so when they get rolling it’s hard to stop them especially at home. Last year was shared spoils against these sides where the Roo's won at home & so did Basso on the corresponding fixture, where both were fairly comfortable at around 20 shots. The Roo's will need to lift on last year's visit here & it generally has been a tough hunting ground for them. I’ll edge Basso on the assumption that there are no massive changes forced through selection movement in their PL side but this one will absolutely go down to the wire.....last end stuff expected across at least 3 rinks.
Bassendean 6 -2

The Bay came close last week to getting that first win on the board but just couldn’t edge their neighbours late on but they’ll be eager to get a big W at home this weekend. It might be a good time to play the Saints as they’ll be a little shell shocked from last week but knowing the Saints I wouldn’t be getting overly confident as they had some close rinks & were probably pretty unlucky to drop an 8 at home so The Bay will need to work them out early. No teams up again for Osborne Park as they find it hard to communicate with Bowls WA...unless there's a complaint to be lodged....joking!! Osborne Park has some massive wins on the road last year & yes there’s some changes but this is still the guts of the team that beat the Mighty Sorrento in the last game R16 in March & that’s when Sorrento hadn't lost a game all year & were only 1 game off finishing the entire season unbeaten.
For that reason & others, I’m chancing my arm again with the away side but genuinely think this will be a great game to watch.
Osborne Park 6 - 2

Who knows what Quinn’s are thinking this week but they probably would have loved to play this Round last Sunday to flush out the Magpies from their system.
Similar sides in a way, where the weight of the recruits are established backend players coming in this season to strengthen their sides. To be honest, I did change my prediction below as I initially thought Gosnells but I’ve changed to the home side & theres 25-30kph Easterly expected after a hot Friday so if the home side grab a fast start I think they’ll be hard to peg back.
