We start round nine after the very long break with a great clash at North Beach, who will host top of the ladder Mosman Park. So hopefully this game will set us up for an interesting second round.

Playing at home the last placed Armadale Storm, just might be able to sneak there second win of the year. I would not have thought that the guys from Gwelup would have ever played at Armadale before, so the home ground advantage might just get the Storm over the line. However the rink that draws the Marovic four from Stirling will have to play at there best to help the Storm get over the line. Marovic has won six out of seven games, a good record in a lower placed team.
Armadale. 6-2

The big advantage that the Kats have on their home synthetic will probably be enough for them to be able to convincingly win this one. In so doing, they will be able to put a handy gap on the fifth placed team in Warwick, who have done extremely well so far this year. But the wealth of experience and the significant home ground advantage, will get the Kats a big win to close off the first round.
Kardinya. 8-0

This could be a very interesting game to finish off the first round, and it could go a long way in defining the Blue boys season. At the moment they sit a whopping seventeen points behind the table toppers , being the Mossies. The Mosman Park skips all sit within the top ten, a magnificent effort in any bodies language. The N Beach stalwart in Geoff Devinish, leading the way for the home side with six wins out of eight, a very good effort also. Ross Dempsey appears to be missing, so that is a big blow for N Neach. The Mossies have been very good all year, whilst the Blue Boys seem to have struck some better form lately. I think the Mossies will bring too much ammunition to Kitchener St though, and keep on winning.
Mosman Park. 6-2

The Ossie Park Saints have not fired a shot at this stage of the pennant year, certainly not the competitive outfit that they have been in recent years. Whilst the Roo boys are doing their utmost to keep in touch with the Mossies. The Roos have only lost one game this year, and that was just down the road at Warwick, losing by one shot only. Even though they have not been overly convincing in recent weeks, they just might have enough big game experience to win this one. The David Triffitt four leading the way for the visitors, having only lost one game all year, and that game by only two shots.
Wanneroo. 7-1

I think the home side on their tricky synthetic surface just might close the gap on the teams above them in this encounter. Peter Auguston and his team will try and keep the home side honest though, as they have only lost two games all year. It would be a great clash if this rink draws the Ken Nadilo four, as Ken and his team are streets ahead of all the other Spearwood rinks, who all sit in negative territory. Spearwood I believe, although they still seem to be searching for the right combinations.
Spearwood. 7-1
