Round twelve sees some very interesting games, with the fifth placed Ravens at home to the boys from the bay, who sit second on the ladder, maybe an upset brewing.
The other intriguing game sees the tenth placed Mounties at home to the Hawks, a possible upset here too, both sides desperate for a win at the bottom end of the table.
The top three sides all playing away, we will see how they cope.

This is another game that may just produce an upset, with the home side capable of winning on their day. The Kookaburras green is not that different to the River Rats greens, but is quite tricky to adjust too. Both sides winning at home last week, but the home ground advantage may sway the game in the Kookaburras favour. Gollan versus Holland would be a good draw, as both teams are doing well. Gollan having a great year, with only two losses so far, a very promising skip and bowler. I see Carbone is playing again, should help the Kookas.
Gosnells 6-2

Only three and one half points separates these teams on the ladder, but by Saturday night I am predicting a bigger margin of separation.
The Lions are very good at home on their synthetic, whilst the visiting Reds side might just find the adjustment too much.
Let's hope that the visiting Simms rink draws the Vandersluys foursome, that would be a great spectacle. Third versus fifth on the skips table, both with similar records.
Leeming 7-1

Can the Magic conquer the visiting Roosters on their good paced grass greens?
The visitors don't handle quick grass as well, but this year just could be different, I remember them beating the Magic in the past, but not by much I believe.
The Marevich and Musulin rinks may just carry the day for the visitors, both of these rinks having great years, occupying first and fourth on the skip table.
Cockburn 7-1

This game could produce a boil over, especially if the green is running quickly.
For the Mounties to have any chance though, they will need a lot more bowls in the head to help their veteran skips.
Both sides coming off heavy defeats last week, will be keen to win to try and avoid relegation.
Hilton especially, as they were only promoted this year.
Mt Pleasant. 6-2

Both of these sides have been fairly inconsistent all year, but they both had wins last week.
The Ravens winning away from home, and they seem a more settled outfit at this very moment.
Carruthers and Hall are hard to beat on their day, and Paul Beaumont, now back skipping also doing very well, for the visitors.
But at home I will tip the Ravens narrowly.
Thornlie. 6-2
